Introduction...Get to know me!

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my stitching blog. Just to tell you a little bit about me:

~ I am currently 23 years old. I have a wonderful boyfriend who makes me so happy. I attended a small community college for psychology and physical therapy assistant.

~ I have been surronded by cross stitching my whole life. My Granny, Anut, and Mother all cross stitch. I "started" cross stitching at a young age. I did a few stamped learn-a-craft kits when I was little. I started and completed my very first counted cross stitch in May of 2010. And I haven't looked back since!

~ The things I love about cross stitching are:
1) It's great therapy! It allows you to have time for yourself to escape the crazyness of life.
2) It makes great personal gifts to give or if you keep them for yourself, you will always have a beautiful piece of art.
3) I just love watching a project come to life! At first it's just a block of color and then slowly shapes emerge, etc. I think it's amazing that I can create something out of nothing. At first it's just a blank piece of farbic then when you're done, there's this work of art!

~ The name of this blog comes from my love of fairies (they are so beautiful!) and of course cross stiching. I know it's stupid but I couldn't really think of anything cool. lol

~ I plan on posting pictures of my projects and just getting to know all of you awesome people!

So, feedback time! What would you like to see on this blog? Any thoughts, comments, suggestions? Also, if you have a blog, I would love it if you shared the link! I love to ooo and ahhh over pics! :-)

Thanks for reading!

  1. A great start to your blog Callisto. I agree that stitching is great therapy and sometimes after a difficult day at work, I just want to get home and grab a needle to put in a few xxxx. Good luck with your projects.
